    "Simply adored this tapas bar that my three-year-old and I just stumbled upon on Broughton street. Yolanda, the lady who served us, was so good with my daughter and made us feel very welcome. She was very affable and we were very well looked after. Loved the food, the portions were great and reasonably priced and the decor was so eco-friendly. When I questioned Yolanda about the decor and commented about the bathroom being wonderfully done up, she mentioned that the owner and her friends had woven the bamboo / cane fittings and done up the interiors by hand! The restaurant, by itself, is small and offers a romantic and intimate ambience. The music, decor and food blended in seamlessly. Definitely visiting this restaurant again with my husband very soon!"

    "Very genuine Spanish food"

    "Been there twice already. First time with colleagues as we were looking for authentic spanish restaurants in Edinburugh. After visiting two others venues in the more touristic areas of the city center, we went to El Quijote last and well, It was terrific!! As we were all from the trade, we got the inspiration we were looking for. Maria (if I remember correctly) was very nice too. it wasn't too busy but it will be in the future I am sure of it."

If you are in a hurry it may not be the right place for you because everything is cooked after you order it so it's alway fresh, this means that you will have to wait a little bit but i can ensure it will be worth it..."

    "My new favourite restaurant"

    "Went here for dinner with my wife last night. Modest appearance from the outside just does not do it justice. I had some of the best Spanish food I have ever had, and that includes numerous trips to Spanish cities with high culinary standards. We had squid (grilled, not in those manky battered rings) which the chef had managed to cook absolutely optimally - just slightly undercooked in that manner you can never get right at home, but which prevents it becoming rubbery. Also had the Iberian pork which was exquisite and again cooked with such confidence that some strips were still a beautiful rare pink. The wine is great too, and incredibly cheap for its quality. The staff are warm and gracious - even to the extent of trying to give use back our change when it was pretty clear we had meant it as a tip. I thought twice about this review, as I don't want it to become so popular that I can't get a table. But then, it doesn't seem fair not to give the place the credit it deserves. This is the sort of quality that restaurants costing twice the price (e.g. Iggs) aspire to. This young and enthusiastic bunch of friends seem to be able to deliver it effortlessly. Visited May 2011"
